Alessandro Nordio was born in Susa (TO)--Italy, on 03/01/1974. He graduated from the Politecnico di Torino with 110/110 summa cum laude degree in Telecommunication Engineering  in July 1998.

From August 1998 to December 1998 he was a consultant for Omnitel, Ivrea, Italy.

In January 1999 he joined the Mobile Communications Department of Institut Eurecom - Sophia Antipolis, France as a Ph.D. student.

In April 2002 he obtained the Ph.D. degree from Ecole Politechnique Federale de Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland with a dissertation about "Advanced Signal Processing Algorithms for 3rd Generation Wireless Mobile Systems".

In April 2002, he joined  the Department of Electrical Engineering, Politecnico di Torino, Italy, where he is currently working as a Post-Doc researcher.
