CURRICULUM

Alessandro Finamore was born in Vercelli (Italy) on December 24, 1980. He graduated from Politecnico di Torino in Computer Engineering in February 2008 with the thesis ''Application of statistical methods to traffic classification in data networks'' studing the application of the chi-square test and Support Vector Machine - SVM to the classification of the internet traffic.

From February 2008 to January 2009 he has been research assistant at the Dipartimento di Elettronica of Politecnico di Torino working on Tstat network tool and contributing to the Napa-Wine european project.

Currently, he is working with the TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS GROUP at the Dipartimento di Elettronica of Politecnico di Torino as Ph.D student under the supervision of Prof. Michela Meo and Prof. Marco Mellia.
