 Workshop Description

 

Now in its third year, the EuroNGI Workshop on New Trends in Modelling, Quantitative Methods and Measurements will address the analysis of future-generation networks by means of mathematical analysis, simulation and network traffic measurements. Like in previous editions of the workshop, EuroNGI researchers active in these fields will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, get up-to-date with current work and present their own contribution.

 

The workshop will focus on the following topics:

  • Traffic measurements, analysis and characterization of IP network traffic
  • Dynamics of networks under new traffic paradigms
  • Spatial modelling of emerging network architectures
  • Analytical solutions for networks optimization and control
  • Numerical, simulation and analytical methodologies

 

 

The workshop will be held in Torino, Italy.

Registration and Submission

 

 

Participants are kindly requested to register by May 26, 2006. In order to register, please send an email to the Workshop Secretary, Ms. Oriana Navone (navone@tlc.polito.it).

Participants who are willing to present a contribution on one of the workshop topics are invited to submit an extended abstract by June 5, 2006. The extended abstracts will be collected in the internal proceedings of the workshop and distributed to the participants.

The extended abstract should not exceed 4 pages using the IEEE Transactions template and must be submitted in pdf format to Claudio Casetti (casetti@tlc.polito.it). The submission must include the name, the organization and the email address of the author(s), along with keywords identifying the work.
