CURRICULUM

Valeria Baiamonte was born in Licata (Sicily) on February 13, 1979. She graduated from Politecnico di Torino with degree in Telecommunications Engineering on November 2002, with 110/110.

Currently she is a PhD student at the Electronics Department of Politecnico di Torino.

Between March 2002 and November 2002, she was supported by TiLab (Italian Public Telephone Research Company) while developing her thesis work on packet scheduling algorithms for WCDMA systems networks. On this work TiLab has registered a patent on November 2002. From January 2003 to December 2003, she was at the Electronics Department of Politecnico di Torino as external researcher for the VICOM project.

She has worked at Intel Research Lab in Cambridge UK from July to December 2005 together with Dina Papagiannaki and Gianluca Iannaccone.
